Readers Respond

Thanks to those of you who took the time to respond to the questionnaire in our last newsletter. Of those who responded, most feel we are on track.

Why do respondents support 1000 Friends? "It works to ensure our quality of life." "It's neither and both liberal and conservative." "I want Florida to grow right." "It cares about Florida--all of it." "You helped us."

What general comments did respondents have about 1000 Friends? "The organization needs to get more newspaper and TV exposure." "Be careful not to spread yourself too thin." "Continue to take legal action against local governments that vote to degrade our natural resources."

What was the reaction to our revised newsletter design? "Looks good!" "Lots of information, easy reading."

What did respondents want more of in our newsletters? Soil and water conservation districts, population, environmental work being done in Florida cities, future goals and concerns of 1000 Friends of Florida, relevant court cases, and more on historic preservation and economic development were some of the responses.

We appreciate your comments, and are taking them to heart as we refine the mission of 1000 Friends, and work to improve our newsletter. If you didn't complete a survey but have some insights you would like to share, please call Vivian Young at (904) 222-6277.
